I've never had anything Cordon bleu, meaning I only had a vague idea
of what I was getting. From Liz's description, it didn't sound so bad,
though I've never been a fan of ham.
I went to Chez Machin
on Hawthorne. Actually, I went there twice. I went for lunch, but
didn't notice on the website that the chicken Cordon bleu is a dinner
menu item. I left before drinking the water and came back at 6 pm.
It
has a pretty mellow flavor and tasted pretty good. It's not my cup of
tea though. It was missing a little bit of a kick. Maybe some capers
would have given it that certain je ne sais quoi.
