Day 60: Fruit Compote

I wasn't sure what to think of compote. Liz got the recipe off OMG! Yummy (ugh). It was pretty easy and I was able to use all the left over strawberries from a few days ago. It sure makes the apartment smell good.

I had to think about what to put it on. The site suggested pancakes, but that just seemed like more work. I considered using the left over Johnny cake, but I wanted to leave that for the chili. I settle on using it as a topping for some vanilla ice cream.

Holy crap! That is damn good. It certainly made the strawberries better.
